I'm Alex Wilson and I'm currently studying Commercial Photography at the University of Derby. This Tumblr is a way for me to show my work, my influences and to get feedback from the general public, I hope you enjoy my work!

Few photos from my shoot today with Bela :-) So torn as to what to use for my final A1 image so feedback would be ace! But yeah totally happy with how these went today and had so much fun doing them! Amazing what you can do with a beauty dish, a white wall and an awesome model! :-)

My two favourite images from today! Had such a good time back in the studio! Don’t think I did too badly for the first time I’ve used the lighting on my own! Totally happy with how these came out and absolutely buzzing to get back in the studio and do some more shoots now!!

New Job!

Finally finishing my last day at JJB tomorrow and preparing to start my new job as a imaging specialist sales assistant at PC World on Saturday! ^_^ so excited to be finally doing something that I know about! AND my redundancy from JJB will pay for an iPad, yay!

Messing around with my new 5D, by far the best thing I’ve ever bought! Can’t believe how clear and crisp the photos come out, the quality is just immense!

Finally got round to doing my first shoot with my new 5D MK ii yesterday and it was a baby shoot! Didn’t think I’d enjoy it but I really, really did, Hayley was so well behaved and lovely! Really happy with the photos I got and I’m glad mummy Shana and daddy Paul were too! :-)

Few edited photos from my shoot today for a fashion students website opening event! I’ll be the first to admit that I really struggled with this shoot as it’s quite out of my comfort zone, there was a lot of people there all constantly moving around which made it really hard to get some well focused images, not great considering they’re my first images to go into the local Derby newspaper, but I suppose it’s experience! On the upside, I am quite happy with some of the close up shots I did of the business cards, I think these came out pretty well!
